The Clean Water Indiana (CWI) Program was established to provide financial assistance to landowners and conservation groups by the State of Indiana.  The financial assistance supports the implementation of conservation practices which will reduce nonpoint sources of water pollution through education, technical assistance, training, and cost sharing programs.  The CWI fund is administered by the Division of Soil Conservation under the direction of the State Soil Conservation Board.

In 2025, The Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District was awarded a grant to provide assistance, both technical and financial, to Morgan County landowners who wish to install conservation plantings. The grant will promote 4 soil health principles that will increase the health of your lands soil. These principles are maximizing continuous living roots year-round, minimizing soil disturbance, maximizing the biodiversity of your soil, and maximizing soil cover.
